Monolith Welcome to the Brainchild of my own imagination!
This site holds the beliefs and opinions of an untypical metalhead. We have info on many different things and pictures of different bands that I find inspirational.

Info on this week's band!
This weeks band is a choice favorite of mine. They are Monolith, a miasma of thrash and nu metal. They are also one of the bands playing Philosophy Fest, The concert that I am holding in honor of the site. If you want any information about the concert, send me and email and I'll give you a list of bands and price info.

WHAT PHILOSOPHY COULD A METALHEAD POSSIBLY HAVE?
I believe that music and literature have a huge impact on a person's life. Metal is more than just a bunch of guys with long hair screaming their heads off. I personally know how much time and work goes into creating Metal that people can listen to and relate to.

There is such a bad reputation for metal music in the states. There always has been. This spins off from religious radicals and such who fight their own brothers in church because they think they hold separate beliefs. Many people who say they can't stand metal are people who have never heard more than 30 seconds of a song by one single band. If people will start expanding their musical horizons, then our music of choice will become as popular as say, Oh, NSYNC?

The Band: Brian Bayliss, Eric Bayliss, Tim Artz, and Aaron Smith This week's review: One Nation Under Metal by Monolith: Reviewed by The Webmaster
Man, I have been blown away by this band. The pure blatant energy put into this album has knocked me flat on my butt. The album opens up with Metal Odyssey, which is exactly what it is called. It shows that this band doesn't want to mess around with stupid loops or weird electronica. They come and grab you by the ears and give you a reason to headbang. Let It Go is what I think the definitive song that all who hear it will remember. It's completely balls-to-the-wall metal. No buts about it. My personal favorite is Derailing, a solid breakdown into a groove that makes you want to start a fight, when all of a sudden the dual guitar attack is interrupted by a full on assault of growling vocals and drum massacre. This album is definitely not a one-hit wonder. Every song has a message and a backbone of serious aggression. I give it a 10!
